I am Funke Elizabeth Oyekan. I hold B.A., M.A.(Old Testament) degrees in Religious Studies, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Religious Studies, specialising in Biblical Studies(New Testament Language and Literature) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.

I hold a Certificate of Competency in Open Educational Resources
(OERs) for Online Learning(Practical Approach) and a Certificate of Achievement in Open Educational Resources (OERs) for Online Learning(An Introduction). I also hold NQF Level 7 certificate in Becoming a lecturer: Teaching and Learning in Higher Education in addition to Nigeria Certificate in Education(NCE).

I am a theologian with a B.Th degree from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, Nigeria(in Affiliation with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.)

I have a passion for teaching and I have taught at almost all levels of the educational sector- Nursery, Primary, Secondary, College of Education, and College of Theology. I am currently a lecturer/facilitator at Bowen University, Iwo.

I strongly believe in Online, Distance, and Flexible learning. This is the reason why I use all opportunities available to be equipped and acquire the skills needed for such learning activities.
