Many OERu courses recommend the APA ( American Psychological Association) reference style.
If the activity or assessment instructions do not specify a citation style, you can choose your preferred style. However, you must apply the style consistently, i.e. don’t mix citation styles in a single activity or assignment. Other styles include: Harvard, Oxford, MLA and Chicago.
We recommend that OERu learners select and use a citation management tool for referencing.
Search online for style guidelines for your chosen or specified citation style. There are many excellent resources online.
