In my equipment safety lesson, I could apply the UDL principle of multiple means of representation by using a multimedia presentation tool like Canva or Google Slides. This would allow me to combine text, images, short videos, and audio explanations to cater to students with different learning preferences—visual, auditory, and reading/writing. It would also make the lesson more engaging and easier to understand, especially for students with learning difficulties or language barriers.
One challenge I might face is limited access to digital devices or unreliable internet connectivity. To address this, I would prepare printed versions of the lesson slides and worksheets with visual aids, and offer a short verbal recap in class. This ensures that all students, regardless of their technological access, can fully participate and grasp key safety concepts. Inclusivity means planning for all learners, even in low-resource environments.
