My name is Bauro, and I’m from the beautiful island nation of Kiribati. I work as a contract teacher in Economics at Saint Joseph College. I joined this course because I’m passionate about improving the quality of teaching in the technical and vocational education sector. I believe that equipping learners with practical and relevant knowledge in Economics can empower them to make better decisions in both their personal and professional lives.
Through this MOOC, I hope to enhance my teaching strategies, connect with fellow educators, and gain new insights that I can apply in my classroom and share with my colleagues.
One fun fact about Kiribati is that it is the only country in the world that is situated in all four hemispheres—north, south, east, and west—because of how its islands are spread across the Pacific Ocean!
I’m looking forward to learning with you all and contributing to the shared goal of strengthening TVET education.
Warm regards,
Bauro

Bula, Emori here from Fiji, I teach computer studies and careers education. I am aways interested in new technologies for teaching. In year 13 we have a new topic Digital Transformation, and I can see the parallels in the contents of this course to what is being included in the text. What I learn here can be used to empower my students and myself. Vinaka.

Talofa Everyone!

My name is Ana Mau Sefo from Samoa. I was a Government College Teacher for more than ten years, teaching Economics and Business Studies. I recently transition to become a Business Advisor and Trainer for one of the Local Organizations that provides best practice services and support for the development of Micro, Small and Medium to Large Businesses.
So transitioning from a Business Studies teacher to a Business Advisor and Trainer can be a highly strategic career move, and I’m hoping these courses will expand my ability to solve problems and make informed decisions as well as adding valuable skills for the benefit of my employer going forward. Furthermore, I would also like to learn from our courses experienced instructors and peers.
