Ways to support learners towards their studies is
parental support is to be stressed out.
students need to be fully focused on schoolwork.
Teachers need to play their part well (introducing the best strategies so that students can understand better)
internet access ( children should know how to use internet)

Support learners might need are:

  1. Parents or Care Giversā€™ support
    .- reduce learnersā€™ time to do home chores and give more time to study.
  • allow learners to practice skills in their homes, i.e. fixing doors when study carpentry skills
  1. Friendsā€™ support
  • be role models in a study group.
  1. Counsellor
  • advice to learners to solve personal problems and to concentrate on studying

Other teachers

  • private tutors for extra support
  1. Learning support
  • monitored activities
  • extra activities
  • private rooms to study after school

Learners require the following support to succeed:

  1. conducive learning environment
  2. parental support
  3. knowledge of the required learning outcome
  4. continuous assessment
  5. learning materials
  6. peer support

For learners to succeed in their studies, the support they need can be:

  1. a friendly learning environment where they can do their studies at ease;
  2. an approachable teacher or facilitator to assist them when they have difficulties;
  3. available resources - where they can have access to easily - eg. books, computers and laptops for internet use and other resources to help them with their learning;
  4. Parental support - give them moral support and guidance as well as support them financially if they are private students;
  5. Government support - by paying their fees if they are on a scholarship;

Support needed by students to succeed are:

  • setting up high and clear expectation- this will guide your students o what is expected of them and direct to work towards.
  • Individual guidance- teacher needs to know the strengths and weakness of the students and help the child accordingly.
  • Peer Support- at times students learn better with peer support. Encourage team / group work
  • Parent engagement- very important aspect towards students success.

Learners in my context need support to succeed in their studies. The support they need are :
a. Motivation - students need motivation so they are interested in the lessons and are keen to take part and be responsible for their learning.
b. Teachers need to be well prepared so that they deliver an interesting lesson where students become active learners.
c. Availability of appropriate resources. Students need resources to learn if they are well equipped with required resources, effective learning will take place.
d. Intervention strategies further improve the learning of concepts that students find difficult.
e. Parental support is also required to motivate and help students in their learning.
f. Students mental health is important so they should be learning in a stress free environment.

With the context where I am now. The support the learners needed are as follows:

  1. Qualified teachers from ECE up to the Upper Primary - to deliver the curriculum with a fair idea what to plan, before, during and after the lesson.
  2. Resources - lessons always need resources to help the learners to cope with what is needed to be learned.
  3. Decrease disruption from the community - culturally if someone passed away school close or even community commemorate days schools also closed as a concerned to the coverage.
  4. Parental support - always a vital way for parents to support their children`s studies.
  5. The perception of the community towards education - here is more often for students who are not academic oriented to join the village casual jobs SO need a change.
  6. A database on the qualification platform - to know the number of different disciplines with higher qualifications so students may have the challenge to get that achievement.
    7.Community engagement - apply to community political leaders to supports studentsā€™ education.
  7. Facilities need to upgrade - eg; laboratory, internet room, sports facilities and hands on workshop.

In the context of teaching and learning, learners need a combination of academic, emotional, and technological support to succeed in their studies. This includes access to high-quality educational resources, well-trained and motivated teachers, and a curriculum that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, learners benefit from a positive and inclusive learning environment that addresses their emotional and social well-being. In the digital age, access to technology and the internet is increasingly crucial, allowing students to access information, collaborate, and develop digital literacy skills. Additionally, ongoing assessment and feedback mechanisms help learners track their progress and identify areas for improvement. Ultimately, a holistic approach to support, combining both academic and emotional well-being, creates an environment where students can thrive and reach their full academic potential.

In order for the learner to be success in their studies firstly they need a safe and supporting learning environment so they can love their learning and secondly is the Parent engagement, In this case if parent support them and supervised them on their schoolwork it is a must that the child will be succeed. Thirdly is the Teaching strategy from the educator, Educator should teach different method of teaching to all level of learner. Fourthly are the Learning resources, learners can be success in their studies if there are enough resources for examples is textbooks, Libraries etc.
Last and foremost is the fees, as we know that some parents have less income and canā€™t afford to pay the children fees and they need scholarship for their studies in order to complete their studies and be success.

For my context, learners need for support in Literacy and Numeracy as these are the major areas of concern. Some elements are:

  1. Hands On Resources: Students to do more hands on activity rather than text book activity.
    2.Parents Support: One common Issue is Parents support for students improvement.
  2. Solesolevaki :Its a was Fijian community come together as a group to do task likewise we can have this as a way to improve students.
  3. Internet and Technology: Availability of internet and technology for students use.

In my own context, learners need various type of support to succeed in their studies. scores of learners find difficulty in their studies due to some issues that consequences the learners going through in their personal lives.

  1. Quality Education- Access to well-structured, up-to-date educational materials and a competent teaching staff.

  2. Tutoring-Sometimes, individualized help or tutoring can be necessary for challenging subjects.

  3. Peer Support- Interaction with classmates for collaboration and sharing knowledge.

  4. Parental Involvement- Support from parents or guardians in a learnerā€™s academic journey.

  5. Career Guidance-Information and counseling regarding career paths and opportunities.
    Support should be tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each learner to ensure their success.

Learners need support in the following ways in order to succeed.

1.Develop their personal philosophy about life, with own vision and missions depending on their grade levels. Use personalised portfolios to keep progress of daily events for feedback from teachers and parents.

2.Parental support with positive parent -child relationship.

  1. Committed teachers to learn about the individual studentā€™s background for effective counselling on academic and socio-emotional support.

  2. Students to be wholistically involved in all aspects of school life.

5,Develop early intervention individual educational plan with consistent teacher and parent support.

According to me, learners need our love and care first. A loving environment makes them safe and fearless to learn. Apart from this, they do need assessment in various ways to gauge if they have understood a topic. Assessment can be formal and informal including not only test papers but also homework, worksheets, questionnaires, research work and so forth.
Also, learners need parental support. It is very essential factor towards a learnerā€™s success.

The learners need support and feedback during their learning. When students are learning they are motivated so that lesson objective is achieved. During the lesson different strategies are utilized so that students can actively participate during the lesson. The assessment is also conducted during the lesson as a form of activity so that feedback can be provided to students based on their understanding. During the activity support is also provided to students who are having difficulty in understanding about the topic so that the lesson objective can be achieved. The lesson is also conducted using a projector as a technology so that students can relate the topic to their daily lives. When lesson is conducted students are provided with learning resources like textbooks. The students are also provided with safe learning environment where they are also guided during the lesson activity.

  • Students need parental engagement as it is the first
    place children start their learning.

Learners need support in varieties of ways to succeed in their studies. These are some of the things I feel learners need in order to succeed in their life.

  1. Love and care - Learners need love, care and affection. If they are loved and are well taken care off then they will show interest in their studies which later can help them succeed in their life.
  2. Differentiated curriculum - to meet the needs of the diverse learners.
  3. Parental Engagement - effective parental engagement is very important. Poor parental engagement shows that the child is being neglected and thus the child will also not put any effort from his/her side.
  4. Resources accessibility - Learning materials to be available for students for example: textbooks, internet connection, laptops etc.
  5. Safe and Conducive Learning environment - every learner must be provided with safe learning environment so that the learner takes keen interest in learning.
  6. Inclusive Education - whereby no child is left behind based on their capabilities and abilities.

In my context as a teacher or an educator, learners often need various types of support to succeed in their studies. Some common forms of support include:

  1. Clear instructions: Learners benefit from receiving clear and concise instructions for tasks and assignments. This helps them understand what is expected of them and reduces confusion.
