Thereās a positive relationship between the awareness and usage of the support services. The more the learners are aware of the available support services the more it is used. However, the percentage of the usage is lower than awareness indicating that some just donāt use even though they are aware of it. These are the ones that needs to be monitored and helped in order enhance students usageā¦
It indicates that providing the services itself does not guarantee a 100% usage. The open school should focus on the gap areas and try to enhance the awareness of the services.
The data suggests a positive correlation between learnersā awareness of support services and their usage. Generally, higher awareness percentages align with higher usage percentages. However, some services, like comments in tutor-marked assignments, show a notable awareness-usage gap, indicating potential areas for improvement in promoting those specific services to students. It emphasizes the importance of effective communication and promotion to bridge the awareness-to-usage transition.
The data suggests a discrepancy between studentsā awareness and usage of support services. While awareness is generally high, actual utilization varies. For instance, study guides/course books have high awareness and usage, indicating alignment. However, academic counseling has lower awareness and even less usage, suggesting a potential disconnect.
To bridge this gap, the open school should focus on improving communication channels to enhance awareness. This could include regular updates, targeted marketing, and perhaps integrating support services into the curriculum. Additionally, addressing barriers to usage, such as making services more accessible or tailoring them to student needs, could encourage greater utilization.
To maximize use, the open school should emphasize the practical benefits of each service, showcase success stories, and incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement. Creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable seeking help is crucial. Regular surveys and feedback mechanisms can also help the institution understand evolving student needs and adjust services accordingly.
The scatter plot shows a positive relationship between learnersā awareness of available support services and their usage of the services. This means that as learners become more aware of the support services that are available to them, they are more likely to use them. This relationship is likely due to a number of factors, including: Learners who are aware of the support services that are available to them are more likely
⢠to believe that they need help.
⢠to know how to access those services.
⢠to feel comfortable using those services.
The relationship between learnersā awareness of available support services and their usage of the services tells open schools that they need to focus on raising awareness of the support services that they offer. This can be done through a variety of channels, such as:
Orienting new learners to the support services that are available to them.
Providing information about support services in student handbooks and on the school website.
Promoting support services through posters and flyers.
Talking to learners about support services in class and during individual meetings.

⢠Celebrate successes. When learners make progress, be sure to celebrate their successes. This will help them to stay motivated and to continue using support services.
1. Comment on the relationship between learnersā awareness of available support services and their usage of the services:
The graph depicts a positive correlation between learnersā awareness of available support services and their subsequent usage of these services. As awareness increases, there is a corresponding rise in usage, indicating that informed students are more likely to actively engage with the support services provided by the open school. This correlation underscores the importance of effective communication and promotional strategies to enhance awareness, as it directly influences the utilization of support services.
2. What does the relationship tell you about what your open school should do after putting in place learner support services?
The relationship emphasizes the significance of robust awareness campaigns alongside the implementation of learner support services. Merely having support services in place is insufficient; there is a need for proactive and targeted communication to ensure that students are well-informed about the available resources. This suggests that the open school should invest in comprehensive orientation programs, regular communication channels, and user-friendly guides to educate students about the range of support services offered.
3. How would you get your learners to maximize the use of support services you invest in?
To maximize the use of support services, a multi-faceted approach is recommended. Firstly, the open school should implement an ongoing communication strategy to consistently inform students about the existence and benefits of support services. This could include regular emails, newsletters, and social media updates. Additionally, organizing mandatory orientation sessions and workshops during the enrollment process can provide detailed insights into available services. To encourage engagement, the open school should highlight success stories and positive outcomes resulting from the use of support services. Creating user-friendly platforms and interfaces for accessing these services, coupled with prompt and personalized feedback, can further incentivize students to actively utilize the support resources provided. Ultimately, fostering a culture that values and promotes the use of support services is key to ensuring their maximum effectiveness.
It is noted that the awareness has been created well to the learners on the different types of services. This means that learners are well versed to these services but not using it to that extent. What I understand from the table is that learners are more interested on online/digital types of services and face to face tutorials rather than books containing course outline.
After looking at the graph on types of services provided, awareness and usage, I think any open school should encourage more on study groups, face to face tutorials and orientation workshops. Open school should look at the learners interest after putting in place learner support services and create more awareness on that.
3.By creating more awareness on that.
Talking more about that during face to face tutorials.
1.The only activity that was well utilised by the students(when they were aware of it) was the face to face tutorial.
This indicates that guided support helps students to be engaged.
2.As stated above, after learner support is put in place, stuidents would need continued guidance to ensure they actually use the support services and use it efficiently and effectively.
3.I would ensure they maximise use of support services by guidinng them throughout the duration of the course.
The graph shows a strong positive relationship between learnersā awareness of available support services and their usage of the services. As awareness of the services increases, so does the usage of the services. This indicates that the more informed and aware learners are about the support services, the more likely they are to utilize them.
This relationship tells us that after putting in place learner support services, our open school should prioritize increasing awareness and promoting these services to the learners. This could involve implementing targeted communication and marketing strategies to ensure that all learners are aware of the available support services and how to access them.
To maximize the use of support services, we could implement a comprehensive awareness campaign that includes information sessions, workshops, and digital marketing to ensure that all learners are aware of the support services and understand the benefits of utilizing them. Additionally, we could gather feedback from the learners to understand their specific needs and tailor the support services to meet those needs, thus increasing their relevance and appeal to the learners. Regular reminders and updates about the availability and benefits of support services can also help to keep them at the forefront of the learnersā minds.

The more learners were aware of the existence of the Learner support system, the higher the usage.
The relationship shows that, once a support system has been put in place, the next step is to create awareness.
I would first of all take learners to an institution that has an already established learning support system for them to learn on it at the same time just wanting them to appreciate the importance of such a system. Then I will purchase for my institution after which I will organise again a session to sensitise them on the fact that the college now has a learning support system
The graph shows a positive relationship between learnersā awareness of available support services and their usage of the services. This means that learners who are aware of the support services available to them are more likely to use them. This is likely because learners who are aware of the support services are more likely to know how to access them and are more likely to feel comfortable using them.

Bula Vinaka,
After analyzing the graph, I saw the difference between usage and awareness were growing larger meaning that learners were aware that support mechanism were provided for their learning, but learners were not aware that such services exist, or they failed to utilize the service to reach maximum progress in learning. Therefore, after putting up the learner support services in my school, teachers should raise awareness on the services offered to support learners and their benefits to support their learning. Hence, to get my learners to use the support services available to them, I will show them the benefits of using such services available to support their learning.
