Rigour of assessment

I have found out that it is very similar to how to prepared blueprint in when preparing an examination paper in Primary School. Teachers should keep in mind that the all the six concepts and skills has to be achieved in a particular assessment.

For a task on database in Computer studies my matrix has focused on creativity whereby the student has to research on Computer hardware in Computer Lab and note their serial numbers, put all details in table form in database and create queries and reports as they want.

Remember – definition of database knowing parts of DBMA

Understand- Recognise database tables, forms, queries and reports in software

Application-Apply knowledge on database and fill I data gathered

Analysis- create queries and check results

Evaluation – Let your friends check if you get correct results

Creativity- a database is created successfully

All levels of Bloom’s Taxanomy are tested

An Assessment question I have used before read this:
Enumerate chemical hazards in an ICT work environment.

This assessment test student ability to remember and as such is level 1 in the matrix.
